About Department

Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities has highly qualified, well experienced and dedicated faculty along with well-equipped laboratories with advanced equipment to inculcate the practical knowledge amongst aspiring budding technocrats. First year department plays the vital role in engineering domain by setting techno-pro-platform for human resource development by teaching basic sciences subject such as Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics , Communication Skills and Indian Knowledge System for all engineering courses to create skilled manpower, enhancing industrial productivity and improving the quality of life of emerging technocrats.

Department basically focuses on the students’ active involvement in Project Based Learning – Technical Case Study, Technical NEWS Reading & Technical Quiz, Value Addition Programs- C++, JAVA, PYTHON, AutoCAD, Met lab, Image Processing & IOT etc,Campus-4-U – GD, Debate and Communication skills,  Entrepreneurship cell activities- Start Up, Mini projects, Soft Skills training, Classroom training, practical training, personal mentoring, self-learning resources – NPTL Videos, knowledge sharing initiatives – Departmental library, Wallpaper Magazine, English Mania, Technical Stand, various activities under the banner of FESA- Expert lectures, brainstorming, Engineering’s Day, Teacher’s day, Technical events, Earn and Learn scheme – Departmental library and laboratories, Sports. Simultaneously, department provides the best subject knowledge & skills through the medium of regular classes, guest lectures, industrials visits, workshop, seminars and mini projects to lay the techno-savvy  foundation of all stakeholders.
